Ketika Anda membuka Explorer, folder shell seperti Documents, Videos, Music atau Pictures dapat ditampilkan dengan ikon folder standar daripada ikon folder khusus. Perilaku ini dapat terjadi ketika file desktop.ini di folder shell hilang atau salah, atau tidak memiliki atribut yang ditetapkan.
Jika folder shell telah kehilangan ikon khusus dan muncul sebagai folder generik (kuning), Anda perlu membuat atau memperbaiki file Desktop.ini untuk folder shell.
Isi default file desktop.ini untuk berbagai folder shell diberikan di bawah ini untuk setiap Sistem Operasi. Di setiap folder shell yang tidak memiliki ikon khusus, buat file bernama desktop.ini dan rekatkan konten yang sesuai dengan folder shell.

Aktifkan Hanya-Baca dan Atribut Tersembunyi untuk file Desktop.ini
Setelah menambahkan konten dan menyimpan file desktop.ini, klik kanan file desktop.ini dan pilih Properties.
Tempatkan tanda centang di dekat atribut Tersembunyi dan Hanya-baca, dan klik OK.
Tekan {F5} untuk menyegarkan tampilan folder, dan melihat apakah ikon folder khusus dipulihkan. Atau lebih baik, Anda dapat memeriksa lagi setelah siklus reboot.
Jika ikon tidak di-refresh, Anda perlu mengatur atribut read-only untuk folder shell jika belum disetel.
Mengatur Atribut Read-Only untuk Folder Khusus
Buka jendela Command Prompt (CMD.EXE). Untuk melakukannya, klik Mulai, klik Semua Program, klik Aksesori, klik Prompt Perintah .
